Overall outlook: Nice value for the 22nd round considering he has a chance, albeit very slim as of now, to be developed as a starter. The likely scenario is that Keller winds up in the pen with an unimpressive but capable fastball-slider combo. However, he has the durable starter frame and a consistent low 90’s fastball with some run. Unfortunately, his changeup and slider grade out below average which allows hitters to sit on the fastball. Keller also struggles with command and will need to lower his walk rate to be taken seriously as a starter. He’ll be given opportunity to start but unless significant strides are made in improving his arsenal and effectiveness the second time through the order, he’ll become a run-of-the-mill righty relief prospect in short order.
